History of Reilly
Named for one of the co-founders of the Mission Viejo Company, Philip J. Reilly opened in 1990. Nestled in a small neighborhood community, Reilly prides itself on its active parent group and tight-knit family atmosphere. The school is unique in that it was constructed as the first joint venture project between a school district, Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD), and the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE). The school provides an integrated facility where disabled and non-disabled students have meaningful opportunities to interact with one another. Reilly has been honored to be named both a California Distinguished School and a National Blue Ribbon School.
At Reilly Elementary School our staff provides a comprehensive, balanced program, which promotes high scholastic achievement for all students. Emphasis is place on student-centered learning activities that allow them to apply skills in language arts, social science, science and mathematics to real-life scenarios. Our teachers incorporate character education, problem-solving and higher level thinking skills into lessons across the curriculum.
